Ephesians chapter six is often quoted from verses ten through seventeen as to what must be done to prepare for spiritual warfare, however, I believe the preparation for spiritual warfare begins in the home with Godly fathers.
Here is what is so often quoted; Ephesians 6:10-17
10 ΒΆ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the
assaults of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against
powers, and against the worldly governors, the princes of the darkness of this
world, against spiritual wickedness, which are in the high places.
13 For this cause take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to
resist in the evil day, and having finished all things, stand fast.
14 Stand therefore, and your loins girded about with verity, and having on the
breastplate of righteousness,
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.
16 Above all, take the shield of faith, wherewith ye may quench all the fiery
darts of the wicked,
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the
word of God.
However, the Apostle Paul begins the chapter citing the Fifth Commandment.
Ephesians 6:1-7
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 Honor thy father and mother (which is the first commandment with promise.)
3 That it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest live long on earth.
4 And ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath, but bring them up in
instruction and information of the Lord.
Paul continues with instruction to those were in servitude (slaves).
5 Servants, be obedient unto them that are your masters, according to the flesh,
with fear and trembling in singleness of your hearts, as unto Christ,
6 Not with service to the eye, as men pleasers, but as the servants of Christ,
doing the will of God from the heart.
7 With good will, serving the Lord, and not men.
Considering the amount of confusion evidenced in the world today by a shocking increase of gender confused individuals, is it any wonder? Where have the parents (fathers) been in fulfilling their God given responsibility to to bring their children up in the instruction and information of the Lord!!??? Yes, the public schools continue to influence this confusion, but, the responsibility belongs with the father. Fathers will be held accountable in the end. This is a tremendous responsibility that has been abdicated by the parents. NOT the “Church”. It begins in the home; this battle starts in the home. That’s where we need to begin to fix this problem. If you have children or grandchildren, please do whatever you can to provide them with the armour that they desperately need or the confusion will continue and our nation will cease to be a nation. Let’s MOVE IT CHRISTIANS!
